A rant about books, horror, and the weird.  I sometimes take on my love/hate relationship with goodreads and Amazon.

Great Fun

Speaks the Nightbird - Robert R. McCammon

A rolicking good read.  As usual the characters are what stand out in a McCammon novel, be it supernatural or otherwise.  We've got witches, warlocks, imps, pirates, murderers, and savages but nary a whiff of the supernatural here.  McCammon gives us a well plotted and suspenseful mystery on top of a good deal of moralization and pathos in the end, but it's all good fun for the 800 pages.
