A rant about books, horror, and the weird. I sometimes take on my love/hate relationship with goodreads and Amazon.
This is really quite a good supernatural thriller and just plain good book. This is the best King I've read in decades, might become my favorite, although it will be hard to beat Misery. It will depend on the ending. More complex than I thought it would be. The True Knot are quite sympathetic villains, almost a "What would I do in their shoes?" kind of thing. They even have moral standards.
I can see the "Big Secret" coming but I'm not sure what it is, King did a good job of not telegraphing too much. Very entertained so far and actually had some real emotional response to some of the terror.
