A rant about books, horror, and the weird.  I sometimes take on my love/hate relationship with goodreads and Amazon.

Disclosures in Scarlet

Disclosures in Scarlet - Carl Jacobi Carl Jacobi was one of the more unique pulp writers. There was nothing too bizarre or just plain freaky he wouldn't try, therefore his stories tend to defy categorical description. He definitely was not in the Cthulhu Mythos scheme of things and his output of outré stories is really rather small.Although these stories are definitely not much above the literary quality of most pulp, the stories are just so weird and varied that you end up pretty much loving them all.
